Pen and ink drawing done mostly using the pointalism method... This is for my high school calander (this year's theme is Great Lakes Lighthouses)... For those who have never done anything in pointalism, think twice about it unless you have a lot of time on your hands... I've found that it is a great way to get certain atmospheric effects, but you have to be commited to it...
what can i say other than "don't stop doing what you do (and you do it so well)!"
when does the calander go on sale? are there any other pictures as good as yours in there? (doubtful) are there any that come close to it? (still doubtful) are there any worth looking at?

My mind looks down on my imagination and refuses to associate with it.
thanks... to tell you the truth, the bird in the front started out because of an accident, the rest just seemed to fit... I tried to keep the birds to a minimum because it's pretty common to put them into lighthouse scenes...
we just got a scanner, so now I will be able to update some of my smaller pictures... hopefully they all scan as well as this one..
the calender should be ready by next wednesday (Dec 10th)... if you come home for christmas you'll be able to get one... otherwise you'll have to have someone buy a copy for you...
my page is featured on the cover... there are a couple other stronger pages... (Erik Deitz's is mighty impressive)... mr. varga was worried about this year's calender (but that's just him)... i think it is acceptable...
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
